Regarding SOPA/Free Speech (Stop Online Piracy Act)

Since I very rarely make posts on TWIG, due to the fact I believe TWIG should be impartial. As to work to the gains of the public at large by publishing  Michigan Legislator's public information. As to what they disseminate actions to the public.

The purpose of writing this post is to forwarn those that are unaware outside the USA the internet is censored to some degrees, whether it be in China, Germany,  the EU itself,  Vietnam, Belarus as to other Authoritarian/Dictatorial Dictatorships.

In China there is the great firewall of China, which censors political speech as to not excite the chinese against the government that exists. Religious freedom is also stiffled.

In Germany, pornography,  as well as hateful/extreme speech is censored. Whether it is on youtube or not. It is also by definition illegal to have emblems of swastikas, Nazism or Communist paraphernalia. Doing so will give you a fine or jail time. I have expierenced this personally well traveling  back to the USA by having a book titled Unpunished Crimes against the Baltic States. In which I was questioned by Deutsche (German) Airport guards. (There was a large Swastika & Hammer & Sickle on the cover) Germany also will not allow games made  from the USA if it is deemed to be too graphic, violent or other. Such games like Command & Conquer, or GTA (Grand Theft Auto) series.

The same as well goes for the EU, & UK. Speech that may incite the minority muslim populations in France/UK & the Netherlands is censored or if not followed heavily fined!  An example of this is Geert Wilders which at points has been ex communicated from his own country.  Or the lone executions of Dutch citizens if they make satire or poke fun of Alah, or Mohamed by radical muslims. These murders, were let off with slaps on the wrists in the Netherlands, again as to fear of riots.

In Belarus it is now ILLEGAL to go to foregin websites if they do not have a .by Top Level Domain or business office  within Belarus.

The USA does not have any censorship in any form. Though nudity is edited out of broadcast media. (family values)  The point is the USA IS the most freest place for speech whether it might be distastful ripugnant dirty or hateful!

However  a minority of legistlators in  the US Congress & US Senate have been working too closely with  monopolistic content creators in Hollywood with the idea to maintain  an already broken system to subvert idealism and creative content  & competition. Which  by histories record  is how Hollywood became to be such a beloved place for entertainment & creativity. 

In all fairness this site would be one of the first domains targeted & pulled down by SOPA (Stop online Piracy Act) & Protect  IP. The reason? Thisweekingovernment ends with .TV The domains protected by SOPA are .NET .ORG & .COM. Under present legislation. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! Also as well the fact it is political free speech in the sense it acts as a tool to empower the voting public & citizenery to know what thier legislators are doing as well as how they represent them.

If you as a US constituent feel that government is good for you as long as they write regulation & legislation to control certain types of people, behavior or actions!  I can guarntee you that you will subject yourself to a life of poverty, & minipulation by others. Since you do not have the belief or confidence  in yourself or a sense of indivualism that you can accomplish anything as well as great invitation or abilities.

TWIG will join the likes of Google, Wikipedia, Youtube, Tumblr, in an ONLINE PROTEST TO SOPA & PROTECT IP.

TWIG will not disable the website but in effect will disable all posts except this entry for 36 hours,  TWIG's facebook will also have only 1 this blog post. For 36 hours in protest,  For those that care for your life, liberty, the pusuit of hapiness (NOT THE RIGHT TO  HAPINESS) An empty website, with only  1 post should warn you of the tyrany to come if allowed to pass.
